ROAD CONDITIONS: Slick Roads, Black Ice Threat

Many roads in Eastern Carolina are slick with snow and ice. Slush could freeze overnight, causing black ice.

While major roadways are being plowed and salted, some secondary roads are still covered with snow and ice.

Black ice is expected to be an issue overnight into Monday morning.

Below are conditions reported as of 12:30 p.m. by NC DOT and viewers.


Beaufort County
Roads are covered with snow and ice.


Bertie County
Roads are covered with snow and ice.




Camden County
Roads are covered with snow and ice.


Chowan County
Roads are covered with snow and ice.


Craven County
Roads are partially covered with snow and
ice.



Currituck County
Road are covered with snow and ice.


Duplin County
Roads are covered with snow and ice.


Edgecombe County
Roads are covered with snow and ice.


Greene County
Roads are covered with snow and ice.


Halifax County
Roads are covered with snow and ice.


Hertford County
Roads are covered with snow and ice.


Hyde County
Roads are partially covered with snow and ice.


Jones County

Lenoir County
