Metro North Railroad has resumed limited hourly service on the New Haven, Hudson, and Harlem lines this afternoon after electric trains were hobbled due to blowing snow and blizzard-like conditions.
The New Haven line will have a 12:52 p.m. train from Union Station in New Haven to Grand Central Terminal making all local stops, and a 1:07 p.m. train from Grand Central Terminal to New Haven making all local stops.
Service was initially suspended on all three of the railroad's lines after drifting snow covered the third rail stalling electric trains near the Mott Haven section of the Bronx,N.Y.
On Sunday night, railroad officials had intended to run a regular Sunday schedule Monday because of anticipated problems due to the heavy storm.
