It’s Friday! Thank goodness the week has finally come to an end and there is a hodgepodge of news making headlines today. Tony Romo and Candice Crawford are engaged (I bet Jessica Simpson is thrilled), 40 Year Old Virgin star Shelley Malil was sentenced to life in prison for charges of attempted murder on his girlfriend Kendra Beebe. Lady Gaga’s meat dress and her number one spot on MTV’s Women of the Year list are also topping headlines. As you prepare for the weekend, let me give you a quick rundown of what is happening on this amazing Friday morning.

First up is the big announcement that Tony Romo and Candice Crawford are engaged. Dallas Cowboys quarterback and ex-flame of Jessica Simpson, Tony Romo (30-years-old) proposed to former Miss Missouri Candice Crawford yesterday as they celebrated her 24th birthday. It seems like everyone Jessica Simpson used to date is getting engaged these days. From Tony Romo to Nick Lachey’s recent engagement to Vanessa Minnillo, Simpson might not be too thrilled. On a more serious side of things, actor Shelley Malil (40 Year Old Virgin) has been sentenced to life in prison. Malil will be heading to jail for his attempted murder on girlfriend Kendra Beebe. While Shelley Malil did attempt a premeditated murder on Kendra Beebe, he did not kill her. The 40 year old virgin star will be eligible for parole in 12 years and that is when he will most likely be released from prison. We hope that Kendra Beebe will be able to recover from the traumatic events of Shelley Malil’s attempted murder.

Last but not least on the list of hot topics for this Friday is Lady Gaga and her meat dress. It seems like Gaga’s meat dress made quite the fashion statement for 2010. On top of Lady Gaga and her meat dress, she has also made the number one spot on MTV’s Women of the Year list. Gaga beat out Katy Perry who came in at #2 and Taylor Swift who was deemed #3. It will be interesting to see how Lady Gaga does in 2011 as people might get tired of but who knows; maybe she will think of something crazier than a meat dress and make history yet again.
